David Ortiz’s Most Memorable Moments

Quick Hit:

“Big Papi” David Ortiz had quite a successful career in Boston and was just elected into the Hall of Fame on his first year of eligibility. He is considered by many to be one of the greatest clutch hitters in baseball’s modern era given his heroics in the 2004 ALCS and legendary 2013 World Series. Ortiz finished his career with 541 home runs and 1,768 RBIs – not to mention leading the Sox to three World Series victories (2004, 2007, 2013)

I’ve always called Papi the most “important” player in the franchise’s history, given his significance to the city and dedication to winning. For me, what sticks out was his leadership during the 2013 season and helping the city get through the horrific marathon bombings that April. Besides his prolific play on the field, I believe his ability to bring people together is what made him a true icon in the city of Boston.

So today, I will list a few of my personal favorite “Big Papi” moments from over his amazing Red Sox tenure (In no particular order)…Down below let me know your personal top moments!
