MLB Records That Will Shock You

Welcome Fellow Baseball Fans!

This is a follow-up post to a blog I wrote last week called “9 Of The Most Unbreakable Records In MLB History,” So be sure to check that out first, as those will be excluded from this list. I got a lot of feedback from that post on my Twitter, so I thought I’d make a part two.

No need for explanations because I think they all speak for themselves. Either they’ll never be broken because the game has evolved over the past century or because Barry Bonds was a thing. I also added a YouTube video to correspond with each record or player. So without further ado, here are 15 of the most unbreakable records in MLB history. (In no particular order):

1. Barry Bonds Hits 73 Home Runs In a Season

2. 749 Complete Games by Cy Young

3. 110 Shutouts By Walter Johnson

4. Sam Crawford’s 309 triples

5. Hank Aaron’s 25 All-Star Games

6. Chicago Cubs 108 Year World Series Drought

7. Fernando Tatis Hits Two Grand Slams In The Same Inning

8. Two no-hitters In a Row For Johnny Vander Meer

9. Barry Bonds’ .609 OBP in 2004

10. Nolan Ryan Career Strikeouts 5,714 and 9 No-Hitters

11. Charles “Old Hoss” Radbourn Wins 60 Games In a Season

12. Barry Bonds, 688 career intentional walks

13. Cleveland Spiders Lose 134 Games In a Season

14. Babe Ruth’s Single Season OPS of 1.546

15. Joe West’s 5,460 Games Umpired
